"National Defense University (NDU; Chinese: 國防大學; pinyin: Guófáng Dàxué) is a military academy located in Bade District, Taoyuan City, Taiwan. The university was established in May 2000 by merging Armed Forces University, National Defense Medical College (NDMC; Chinese: 國防醫學院; pinyin: Guófáng Yīxuéyuàn), official website), National Defense Management College and Chung Cheng Institute of Technology"

"On September 1, 2006 the Political Warfare Cadres Academy (Chinese: 政治作戰學校), also known as Fu Hsing Kang College (復興崗, "Renaissance Hill") became part of the National Defense University, thereby ceasing to be a stand-alone institution."
